the credenzin (Triestino dialect for little sideboard) is in South American oak, with a top in white Carrara marble and the showcase has beveled glasses, finished with shellac and little industrious black-and-yellow insects wax.

I am pretty pleased with the way this chair turned out. It was generally much easier the second time around but I was a mite careless on a couple of occasions where I hammered on without re-reading the instructions and as a result ended up with spares for a back leg and a rocker! I guess total time was around 150 man hours but I made no effort to record this and trying to distill working time from time waiting for the various glue-ups to dry is a bit problematic.
